PACHUCHA, HILDAGO—June 3, 2009—USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: USNA) today congratulated the USANA-sponsored Tuzos del Pachuca Soccer Club on its successful season ending Monday in the Mexican League Clausura 2009 final. Pachuca lost the close final match to the UNAM Pumas by a score of 3-2, becoming the 2009 Mexico League runner-up.
“The championship match was lost, but the physical performance displayed by the players is to be admired, largely thanks to the nutritional support by USANA,” said Director of Sport Andrés Fassi. “We have confirmed that USANA has benefited our players’ performance, and we are thankful for their continued support.”
The Pachuca Soccer Club, popularly known as Tuzos or Tuzos de Pachuca, is based in the city of Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico. The club was founded in 1901, making it the oldest Mexican soccer club, and has been sponsored by USANA for the past two years. The competitive Mexican league consists of 18 professional teams, of which Pachuca has the most soccer academies in Mexico, North America and Central America.
