SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--USANA Health Sciences (NASDAQ: USNA - News) Executive Gil Fuller received the first annual CFO of the Year award yesterday from Utah Business magazine. Fuller, who serves as USANA’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, was recognized in the medium public company category at an awards banquet hosted by the magazine.
Utah Business stated that CFO honorees work as a partner with a company’s chief executive officer to guide the company through financial storms and sunny days. The publication sought to recognize individuals who have truly risen to the task as financial stewards. Utah Business recognized 24 finalists at the banquet and awarded a top executive from each of eight categories with a CFO of the Year award.
President Dave Wentz commented on Mr. Fuller’s win, saying, “Gil has truly been an asset to USANA over the past 12 years. He has been instrumental in the growth of our company and I’m excited to see him receive this well-deserved recognition.”
Fuller joined USANA in May 1996 as vice president of finance and served in this role until June 1999, when he was appointed senior vice president. He has served as USANA's CFO since October 1997. Prior to joining USANA, he served as executive vice president of Winder Dairy, Inc.; chief administrative officer and treasurer of Melaleuca, Inc.; and vice president and treasurer of Norton Company. Fuller received a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA from the University of Utah.
