USANA Recognized Again With Two Best Of State Awards

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: USNA - News) announced today it will receive two Best of State Awards for the best dietary supplements and best personal-care products in Utah. This is the fifth year USANA has won a Best of State award for its science-based nutritional products and the second consecutive year it has won for its Sensé™ skin-care line.

USANA has set itself apart in a competitive dietary supplement market by voluntarily using the pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) model for its quality assurance program, meaning USANA supplements are treated with the same care that goes into manufacturing pharmaceutical products. It also has received independent certification of many of its products through NSF International. USANA’s revolutionary Sensé™ skin-care line is recognized for its nourishing ingredients and exclusive technologies, including patented self-preserving formulas.

“We have always strived to set the benchmark for quality and safety within our industry,” said USANA President Dave Wentz. “It is gratifying to once again be independently recognized for our exceptional products, especially in a state with more than 100 dietary supplement companies.”

The Best of State Awards were created in 2003 to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations and businesses in Utah. Best of State candidates are evaluated by a panel of 100 judges based on three criteria: achievement in the field of endeavor; innovation or creativity in approaches, techniques, methods or processes; and contribution to improving the quality of life in Utah.
